Key Guidelines to Follow:

All materials previously submitted for SLC must be resubmitted for ILC by those who plan to attend. This includes registration, competition selections, required uploads, code of conduct, and medical liability forms, and any updated entries for recognition events.

All fees for ILC are paid to SC HOSA.  SC HOSA submits a single payment for our entire delegation.

General Conference Information

Who is eligible to ATTEND the 2026 ILC?

  • All registered members are eligible to attend ILC
  • Alumni, Chaperones, Family, and Guests (do not have to be members)

Who is eligible to COMPETE at ILC?

    • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners automatically advance to ILC
    • If your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd winner is UNABLE to attend: Email the chapter advisor of the 4th place winner and copy Stacie Elwood, no later than April 15th
    • 4th and 5th place winners are alternates in the event that any of the top 3 winners cannot attend
    • If you are notified, your 4th place winner is eligible; however, they are UNABLE to attend: Email the 5th place winner and copy Stacie Elwood, no later than April 15.
    • Like SLC, students may only compete in 1 competitive event (and unlimited recognition events)

Can a team that placed in the Top 5 at SLC still compete if some members cannot attend?

Yes!  But A team event must include AT LEAST 25% of the original team members from the winning team at state.

Other qualified student members may be substituted or added in remaining team positions so that the minimum number of team members will be present to compete and is consistent with the rules for that event.

                # 8 Advisor Information

                Volunteer are Needed!

SC HOSA is responsible for the following events at ILC:

                • HOSA Bowl/Foundations of HOSA Bowl – Friday 9 AM – 12:30 PM
                • Thursday Testing Center

SC HOSA has two Competitive Events at this year’s International Leadership Conference—HOSA Bowl/Foundations of HOSA Bowl and the Testing Center on Thursday. These are important parts of the conference, and we must have all of SC HOSA’s volunteer spots covered.
We need your help to make it happen! Please consider signing up to volunteer for one of these events. Your time and support are incredibly appreciated,  and together we can help make ILC a great success for everyone.

                Continuing Education Units (CEUs)

                HOSA offers Continuing Education Units
(CEUs) for educators. If you are interested
in learning more, download the CEU
                Packet Here.

CEU certificates will be awarded by HOSA.  Chapter advisors should check with their local school administration or State Advisor to determine if these CEUs are recognized for meeting state teaching licensure requirements.

                • The CEUs offered are “Education” CEUs and not nursing CEUs.
                  • The CEU certificate indicates 10 hours = 1 CEU. If your school measures units by the hour, the certificate will show the hours.
                  • Advisors must complete 10 hours of staff development to earn one (1) CEU or 20 hours to earn two (2) CEUs. A
maximum of 20 hours or two (2) CEUs will be awarded per person; partial credit or hours will not be awarded.

                Chaperone Forms

If your students are attending the conference without their advisor, a Chaperone Form must be submitted. This includes situations where a parent is serving as the chaperone—we need the parent’s name and cell phone number on file. If your students are attending with another school, a Chaperone Form is also required. The form and upload instructions can be accessed by clicking  here.

                Substitutions & Deletions

                Substitutions:

Accepted on an Emergency basis until Monday, June 15 at 8 AM.  There will be a $25 fee after May 15

An Example of Substitution:  Consider this scenario: You have a CPR team made up of 2 competitors, but one drops out at the last minute.  You can “substitute” a competitor from another team. In this scenario, for the Public Health team (2 – 6 person team), you can replace the dropped member from CPR with one from Public Health. Now, the CPR team has a complete team of 2, and the Public Health team remains intact, even if they only have five members.

                Deletions:

Deletions will be accepted through registration on Wednesday, June 17.  No $25 fee will be assessed; however, the $125 regisration fee will still apply.  PLEASE let us know ASAP if you have any deletions after May 15.

For Substitutions and Delections, please email both Stacie Elwood and Amanda Wilson.

                Arrival for Testing & Events

Make sure to check the agenda for all testing and event days/times.

This year, more than ever, tests/events will begin early on Wednesday, June 17. Consider this carefully before making your travel plans.  You may want to think about arriving on Tuesday, June 16, to ensure that students can reach their testing or events on time on Wednesday morning, especially considering the potential for travel delays.

SC HOSA’s ILC Registration is on Wednesday, June 17, from 9 AM – 1 PM.

If you have students testing prior to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, you will need to notify Amanda Wilson before 6 PM on Tuesday, June 16.  Arrangements will need to be made to get your students’ name badges for those testing prior to  Wednesday, 10:30 AM.  All other conference materials can be picked up at the scheduled registration time, Wednesday, 9 AM – 1 PM.
