#1 Conference Information

General Conference Information

  • Registration Fees– $90
    • Payment deadline is March 3, 2026
    • Payment can be made by:
      • Check and mailing to SC HOSA, PO Box 866, Lexington, SC 29071
      • Credit Card (Non-refundable fees will apply)
  • Photo IDs will be required this year- Acceptable Forms of ID
  • Registration is available for all students and advisors who are HOSA members for the 2025-2026 academic year, along with alumni, chaperones, and other professionals.  All advisors MUST be registered HOSA members.

 

Dress Code

Conference Dress Code– Day-by-Day for students and advisors/chaperones.  Make sure you are following the dress code.  
NO denim, NO shorts, NO Capri pants, NO leggings.
Event-specific dress is allowed where appropriate. Read your State Guidelines.

Also, you are required to wear your conference namebage at all SC HOSA events.

      NGL/Cengage Academic Testing

      In addition to Competitive Events and Recognition participation, the National Geographic Learning Academic Testing Center (NGL-ATC) is available this year, for an additional $10 per test. All NGL-ATC tests will be conducted simultaneously with all other online testing.

      NGL-ATC – Students have the option to take multiple tests; however, each test costs $10.

      At the local level, the school or advisor is responsible for providing accommodations for multiple tests if students choose to take more than one NGL-ATC test. Alternatively, you, as the advisor, have the option to restrict the number of tests offered to your students.

      NGL-ATC top 5 finishers will be recognized on the PowerPoint ONLY during the Awards Session.

      1. Schools are limited to only 5 students taking the Healthcare Issues Exam.

      2. Schools are limited to 3 students/teams per school, per competitive event.

      #2 Step-by-Step Registration

      Make sure you have completed your registration with the following for EACH student:

      1. Competitive Event
      2. Recognition Event, if applicable.  If it is a chapter recognition event (National or State Service Award, Blood Drive, American Red Cross, HOSA Happenings), you need to register just one person for your chapter.
      3. T-shirt size for EVERYONE registered (student, advisor, & chaperone)
      4.  Courtesy Corps members (up to 4 per chapter)
      5. If you choose to designate an Outstanding HOSA Member (OHM).  One student only per chapter.
      6. Ensure that a personal email address is provided for the student, as they will receive important information regarding their event.
      7. Voting delegates will NOT be assigned through the registration process this year.

      #3 Other Conference Information

      Opening/General Sessions

      • Opening/General Session will be on Wednesday, March 11th at 7:45 PM
      • Attire for Opening Session is the HOSA’s official Uniform Policy OR Business Dress Policy.
      • Students not dressed properly will be turned away and not allowed on stage for any awards they may receive.
      • Advisors/Guests/Chaperones should serve as role models and dress professionally at all times.

        • The application should be completed and submitted electronically through the SC HOSA website ONLY.  
        • Faxed, mailed, or emailed information will NOT be accepted.
        • ADVISORS: Read the requirements carefully and recommend only qualified students.
        • Deadline for Officer application is 11:59 PM EST, February 1, 2026.  After this date, applications will NOT be accepted.
        • References must be submitted online through the following link: https://www.schosa.org/reference-letters/. It is the applicant’s responsibility to share this link with their references.

        • Officer candidate interviews will take place at the SC Department of Education on March 3, 2026. Officer candidates and advisors will be contacted regarding directions and interview times.
        • Questions regarding the Officer Application should be directed to:

      RECOGNITION Session & Awards Ceremony

      The Recognition Session and Awards Session will take place at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 13th, with no break in between the two sessions.

      • Invite family, friends, and other interested individuals to show support for your SC HOSA students
      • Attendance at the awards ceremony is free of charge.
      • HOSA members are required to wear conference t-shirts paired with black, blue, khaki slacks, or knee-length skirts (no jeans, no denim, no shorts & no capris), with comfortable closed-toed shoes (no flip flops or sandals) to the awards ceremony

      State Officer "Meet & Greet"

      This “Meet and Greet” event is designed for the voting delegates who wish to connect with and learn more about the 2026 – 2027 State Officer Candidates.

      The gathering will take place in the Grand Staircase Foyer immediately following Opening Session.

      • Everyone registered in the Conference Management System (CMS) for SLC must have both a  Medical form and Code of Conduct form uploaded by February 21, 2026.
        • Every signature is required on the form.

        • Please ensure that you do not leave any unanswered questions; if something does not apply, simply write N/A.
        • NO ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES WILL BE ACCEPTED.

      Registration Options/Activities

      Outstanding CHAPTER HOSA Member

      The Outstanding Chapter HOSA Member (OHM) is the student who contributes to his/her school, community, and HOSA chapter through service, involvement, and development of skills, abilities, and attitudes necessary to pursue a career in healthcare.

      To submit your OHM:

      1. You may only register one OHM per chapter.
      2. You MUST register/designate your OHM through the online registration, under the “Add Options/Activities” in their registration.
      3. DO NOT email the photo as you’ve done in the past. Instead, complete the submission form available on the SC HOSA website by clicking here.
      4. Photo formats should be in JPEG, PNG, or PDF only. Photos will be shown during the Recognition Session at the conference. Please make sure to submit high-quality and suitable images.

      To guarantee that your OHM is highlighted in the conference slides, please submit your photos by February 23.

        CHAPTER PHOTOS

        To submit your Chapter photo(s)

        1. DO NOT email the photo(s) as you’ve done in the past. Instead, complete the submission form available on the SC HOSA website by clicking here.
        2. Photo formats should be in JPEG, PNG, or PDF only. Chapter photos are requested for your HOSA Chapter and students to be recognized in the Conference Opening Session.
        3. If you need to submit multiple photos reflecting how your class(es) meet, every effort will be made to combine them and display as  a single slide, ensuring that all students receive recognition.

        To guarantee that your chapter is highlighted in the conference slides, please submit your photos by February 23.

        Voting Delegates

        You will NOT be assigning your Voting Delegates during your registration this year.However, it is important to know how many voting delegates your chapter is entitled to and to identify the students you wish to designate as your chapter’s voting delegates.
        Additional information will be provided at Conference Registration
        on Wednesday, March 11th.

        WHAT IS A VOTING DELEGATE?

        • Voting delegates are your chapter’s voice in all official HOSA business.
        • Voting delegates MUST attend the business meeting on Thursday evening at 6 PM during the conference.
        • The Dress Code is HOSA’s Official Uniform Policy or Business Dress Policy.  The dress code  is STRICTLY ENFORCED.  You will be turned away if you do not meet the posted dress code.

        CHARACTERISTICS OF A GOOD VOTING DELEGATE

        Please use the table below to determine the correct amount of voting delegates based on the number of registered members you currently have in your local chapter.  Please note: NO CHAPTER WILL HAVE NO MORE THAN 5 VOTING DELEGATES.

        Additional information can be found in the student’s SC HOSA Bylaws.

        Courtesy Corps

        WHAT IS A COURTESY CORPS MEMBER?

        • You MUST register/designate your Courtesy Corps members through the online registration, under the “Add Options/Activities” in their registration.
        • Courtesy Corps members may be asked to assist judges, run errands, work at the information desk, assist with educational symposiums or assist in other ways; therefore, they should be dressed in HOSA uniform or business attire.
        • Some will be asked to serve as victims and patients. Courtesy Corps members should wear comfortable clothes for these assignments.
        • Courtesy Corp volunteers will receive an email (email in CMS will be used) on March 2nd containing link to sign up for a specific task during the conference.

        #5 Digital Upload Information

        STUDENT DIGITAL UPLOAD INFORMATION

        • Only one team member must upload their documents for their “Team”
        • In addition to uploading your required information, you are required to bring a hard copy of all forms to the conference if indicated in your event guidelines.  Please read and follow your SC HOSA event guidelines
        • We highly recommend uploading your documents well in advance to prevent any difficulties with the system. Please note that no uploads will be accepted after February 21.

        #6 Hotel Information

        Your students must be registered for the conference before securing hotel rooms

        All HOSA Approved Hotels:

        • Check-in for hotels is 4 PM, check-out is 11 AM (Luggage storage is available for Friday morning at each hotel) Do NOT expect to check in before 4 PM on the day of arrival. No sitting/lounging around in the hotel lobby before checking in.
        • A credit card is required to be on file to guarantee the hotel reservations, as well as any incidentals charged to the hotel rooms or hotel damage.  Consider asking the hotel to turn off incidentals in your students’ rooms.
        •  When you’re ready to check out, please ensure you do so either at the hotel front desk or via the hotel app. This will help prevent any confusion during your departure from the hotel.
        • All HOSA-approved hotels provide a daily hot breakfast, complimentary Wi-Fi & luggage storage on Friday Morning
        • All HOSA-approved hotels are within walking distance of the Convention Center
        • Most hotels offer a shuttle bus to the convention center without a chaperone on a space-available basis. Any other destinations within a 3 to 5-mile radius with a chaperone.  Check with your hotel for specific information.
        • All HOSA-approved hotels will have a 10 PM Curfew each night and will BE ENFORCED.
        • SC HOSA’s hotel process must be followed to ensure the chapter’s eligibility is not in jeopardy.
          • To request a hotel, you must fill out the Conference Verification form. On this form, please provide both a first and second choice, ensuring that the same hotel is not listed twice. All requests will be processed in the order they are received through the Conference Verification form.

          • Email all rooming lists to the contact located on the first page of your rooming list form. Please copy Amanda Wilson, schosa@outlook.com on this email.
          • Faxed rooming lists will not be accepted at any of the hotels. Additionally, reservations cannot be made via phone calls.

        • If a pool is available at your hotel, a school advisor/chaperone MUST be at the pool supervising your students at ALL TIMES!

        Starla’s Hands-On Body Systems: Movement:

        Join the party where you’ll master mind-blowing tricks to learn, remember, and unleash the secrets of how bones and muscles team up to create movement magic! Get ready to see these systems in a whole new light by crafting the building blocks of motion. This is a fun, electrifying, and hands-on workshop! The best part? You get to keep your masterpieces!

        Workshop 2:

        Starla’s Hands-On Body Systems: The Computer that Controls
        Movement!

        Prepare to have some fun! Participants will build the Nervous System using vibrant clay  and  “connect” the muscles to finish off the movement trifecta. As you piece together each creation, you’ll unravel the mysteries of their structure, role, and how they shake hands with other systems and real-world scenarios (like strokes and paralysis). By the end of the workshop, you’ll leave with your trio of movement components in hand!

         

        Anatomage Tournament

        The Anatomage tournament is an engaging team-based anatomical competition, challenging students to identify and understand anatomical structures while getting hands-on experience with Anatomage Table 3D technology.
