The students of the Floyd D. Johnson HOSA chapter recently held an event to help meet their fundraising goal for the National Service Project. The event was titled “Sticky Situation,” where students were provided an opportunity to tape up a few of the leaders within our school. For a $1 donation, the students were given a piece of duct tape to join in on the fun. Once the participant was clearly stuck, they were to remain on the wall until the end of the students’ lunch.

This fundraiser, along with t-shirt sales and sponsorships enabled out students to earn over $2,000 to donate to our local NAMI chapter: Piedmont Tri-County NAMI. The proceeds of which will go directly back into our community to help those affected by a mental illness or disorder.
