OPENING/GENERAL SESSIONS:

  • General sessions/Opening will be Wednesday, March 16th at TBD
  • Attire for opening sessions is the HOSA uniform or black or Navy suit with white shirt. Navy or black closed toe shoes. Please see the dress code for any questions.
  • Students not dressed properly will be turned away and not allowed on stage for any awards they may receive. Advisors should dress professionally

AWARDS CEREMONY:

  • Awards ceremony will be Friday, March 18th at TBD
  • Invite family, friends, and other interested individuals to show support for your SC HOSA students
  • There is no charge to attend the awards ceremony
  • HOSA members are required to wear conference t-shirts and black, blue or khaki slacks (no jeans, no denim, no shorts & no capris), with comfortable closed toed shoes (no flip flops or sandals) to the awards ceremony

TESTING:

All testing will be completed prior to your arrival for the conference.  This will included all events with testing as part of their competitive event, events with testing only and Healthcare Issues Exam . Click here for testing information.

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATIONS:

We will begin accepting applications December 1, 2021 through February 10, 2022.

    • The application should be completed and submitted electronically through TALLO, only. Locate the SC HOSA Scholarship in TALLO, follow the directions.
    • Mailed or faxed submissions will not be accepted.
    • ***NOTE: Please REVIEW the application requirements carefully to ensure all qualifications are met before submitting your scholarship application.
  • Scholarship letter references may be may uploaded by the scholarship candidate through their TALLO application or emailed directly to schosa@outlook.com. PDF format only.  The subject line should read “Scholarship/candidate’s name.”
  • Deadline for submissions is February 10, 2022. After this date scholarship applications will not be accepted.

    • Read the requirements carefully and recommend only qualified students.
    • Deadline for Officer application is, February 10th.  After this date, applications will NOT be accepted.
    • Officer Candidate letter references may be uploaded by the officer candidate through their TALLO application or emailed directly to schosa@outlook.com. PDF format only.  The subject line should say “Officer Candidate/candidate’s name.”
    • Officer candidate interviews will be TBD. Officer candidates and advisors will be contacted regarding directions and interview times.

MUST be uploaded into  TALLO  by 11:59 pm on March 1st.

REMINDERS:

  • 2022 Competitive Event Information and Guidelines
  • Competitors must bring all items noted with *** in the materials section of the guidelines for each event
  • The HOSA Code of Conduct must be followed at all times by advisors and students
  • All phones should be in the off position during competitions, general sessions and awards sessions
  • Only two teams per school may participate in Health Career Displays.
  • Competitors for Job Seeking and Interviewing Skills will fill out an application Wednesday evening in room designated on final agenda (see the schosa.org website for the up to date copy). Competitor will submit cover letter and resume in TALLO.
  • Deadline for Barbara James & National Service Project online verification for state conference recognition is February 24th to be recognized in the conference program.  Late entries will be accepted until March 1st, however, will not be in the online conference program. You may continue to log hours for national recognition.
